Emma Docherty
Head of Foundation Stage
My name is Emma Docherty and I am from Newcastle upon Tyne in England. This will be my ninth year at GEMS Royal Dubai School and I cannot wait to meet all the students in Foundation Stage in my role as Head of Foundation Stage.
I have been teaching in Foundation Stage and Year 1 for twelve years now and thoroughly enjoy learning alongside the children, providing them with creative, practical activities and seeing their progress throughout the year. I studied Early Education at university, specialising in the Foundation Stage. I really enjoy travelling to new exciting places and always looking for my next adventure.
I also enjoy watching sports, especially football. I am a big Newcastle United fan and enjoy watching the match when I can. I am very excited to meet you all!
