About
Early Years Foundation Stage

At GEMS Royal Dubai School, we take a child-centred approach, focusing on each child's individual needs to support their development and ensure the best possible progress. We pride ourselves on delivering an enhanced version of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Curriculum, which we enrich by fostering a culture of enquiry and curiosity. This approach encourages children to explore, ask questions, and develop a love for learning, setting the foundation for lifelong intellectual growth.

While Arabic is not compulsory within the Foundation Stage, we offer an immersive Arabic experience as part of our Early Years timetable. This includes songs, stories, and basic vocabulary, introducing children to the language and culture in a fun and engaging way, setting them up for success in Key Stage 1.

Our commitment to individualised care, enriched curriculum, and strong support systems ensures that every child receives the attention and opportunities they need to thrive.

Why choose an Early Years school setting?

Choosing an Early Years school setting provides children with a strong foundation for their lifelong learning journey. GEMS Royal Dubai School Early Years education offers a structured, nurturing environment where children can develop essential social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills alongside a strong emphasis on academic progress- the best of both worlds.

With a focus on play-based and child-centered learning, it fosters curiosity, creativity, and independence, preparing children for success in future academic settings and beyond. School based Early Years settings also provide opportunities for children to engage with older peers, build relationships, and learn key life skills that will support them throughout their education.
