Our School

Established in September 2005, GEMS Royal Dubai School provides an outstanding education from Foundation Stage to Year 7, with Year 8 admissions open for Academic Year 2025-2026. We follow the national Curriculum of England, delivered by British-trained and experienced teachers who have been chosen for their ability to create a motivational, child-centered environment. This has led to the school being recognised as ‘Outstanding’ in all categories by BSO (British Schools Overseas).

A warm and welcoming ‘family’ atmosphere is felt throughout the school. Here, self-confidence and self-esteem flourish in an encouraging, academically challenging and rewarding setting. We implement the National Curriculum of England Self-confidence and self-esteem thrive in an environment that is encouraging, academically challenging and rewarding. We teach the National Curriculum for England within a High Performance Learning culture. 

We value every individual and strive to provide positive encouragement to help each child grow into accomplished, happy, self-confident and well-mannered individuals who respect others. 

At GEMS Royal Dubai School, we place great importance on our relationships with parents and actively work to cultivate effective hoe-school partnerships. This includes regular communication, opportunities to meet and share feedback and a vibrant array of performances, exhibitions, workshops and sporting events.

Continuing the RDS journey into Secondary

From the start of the academic year 2024-25, RDS has launched its new secondary provision with the introduction of Year 7 in August 2024, to be followed by Year 8 at the start of the 2025-26 academic year with our new secondary campus opening in the summer of 2026, conveniently located just a few minutes’ walk from our current school.

The intention is for RDS to eventually become an all-through school, serving students from Foundation Stage all the way up to Year 13. While the new Secondary campus is designed and constructed to the highest standard, Year 7 and 8 students begin their secondary school journey within the existing RDS building. By the time the secondary campus is complete in 2026, the new site will open with Years 7, 8, and 9 in place.
